Care For Soil, Care For Soul
I deliver workshops across Ireland, ranging from reflective to informative and educational.
The following are examples of my workshops:
The world of the senses is intensified with beauty that is meant to recall us to the higher and eternal forms of beauty. Seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and tasting expand our consciousness.
In reconnecting with flowers through appreciating colour, shape, taste, touch and sound of flowers, we are awakened to the sacred energy within us.
The workshop will :
Reflect on smell and how the scent of flowers stirs memories for us
Identify flowers that visually appeal to us and their spiritual meaning
Understand how we appreciate flowers through taste and touch, and what they do for us
Explore the healing power of flowers through our senses.
The contemplative life belongs to nature and the seasons. Seasons encourage us to embrace the paradoxes of struggle and joy, loss and gain, darkness and light and finding all of it provides growth opportunities.
Flowers during the various seasons reflect our lives through cycles of birth, death, healing and nurturing.
The workshop will :
Explore the miracle of growth from seeds to bloom
Reflect on what is within the joy, love and beauty of flowers
Recognise the wisdom of the resilience of flowers
Understand what flowers teach us about letting go.
The presence and experience of colour are at the very heart of all life. Each colour evokes its world of feeling and association.
The aesthetics of coloured plants is what attracts many people to them. Colour weaves in and out of us at a soul level with no regard for our physical body. We live with our colourful emotions: red for love, red for anger, yellow for joy, green for growth, and green for envy. We are constantly living in the soul world.
The workshop will:
Share the understanding of the spectrum of colour in flowers and us
Reflect the spiritual and emotional aspects of various colours
Explore how central light and darkness are to our survival and flourishing.
‘’You are the mirror of Divine beauty.’’ Rumi
The feelings of joy and love are connected to the first recognition of beauty, the most significant event in the evolution of human consciousness. We express love and joy daily. But what are they?
The workshop will:
Explore the origin of beauty, love and joy and their centrality to humanity
Identify the spiritual meaning of beauty, love and joy through flowers
Reflect the paradox of beauty, love and joy as part of creation.
Since ancient times, people across all cultures have been drawn to flowers, using them to express goodwill, love, beauty, and sorrow, with each bloom carrying its distinctive meaning for individuals and across global communities. Plants possess wisdom to share, and by forming a relationship with them, merging our spirit with the plant’s spirit, we uncover and honour the strength of the plant’s essence.
The workshop will:
Reflect the spirituality of flowers used in many religions
Reflect on the use and influence of flowers on poets, writers and artists
Explore floral language and its hidden meaning
Identify the spirituality of various rituals through flowers.
Nature’s intelligence is intuitive, holistic, and nourishing and functions effortlessly and spontaneously. We are interconnected with every aspect of nature since creation, explaining why we love nature – the biophilia effect. We are interdependent on each element: earth, air, water and fire.
The workshop will:
Explore our innate and intuitive connection with the cosmos and the natural world
Awaken in us our reliance on each element for flourishing
Stir in us what simple steps we can take to care of Mother Earth, and in turn care for ourselves.
